AKILAH
NOSAKHERE ELECTED TO BE THE MANAGING EDITOR
OF AFRICANA STUDIES
Akilah Nosakhere, Special Collections Librarian
for the Robert W. Woodruff Library, was recently
elected to be Managing Editor of the International
Journal of Africana Studies, the journal for
the National Council for Black Studies. Akilah
is long-time member of NCBS. She will be attending
their upcoming annual conference this week
in Atlanta, March 17-22, where she will give
a presentation on the web-based African American
Studies Core List of Resources. The Core List
is an annotated bibliography, and part of a
five-year project Akilah directed in conjunction
with the Association for College and Research
Libraries, African American Librarians Section.
