In 2006, the Robert W. Woodruff Library of the Atlanta University Center implemented extended hours and wireless access and quiet zones in designated areas of the Library. This fall, RWWL is offering even more service enhancements, including Library wide wireless access, a new “Quiet Study” room and increased study hours during exams.

In response to user recommendations and Library staff observations, the Woodruff Library of AUC is offering expanded service options for

WIRELESS ACCESS
This fall, wireless access will be available throughout ALL areas of the Library! The expansion will increase flexibility in accessing the Internet and the Library’s electronic resources in study areas on all floors.

QUIET STUDY
RWWL has created an enclosed “Quiet Study” room on the Lower Level, next to the Computer Lab. This area will be a cell phone-free, quiet zone, where students can study in a quiet, comfortable environment separated from the hustle and bustle of daily operations. The area also supports wireless access for easier use of the Library’s electronic resources.

24-HOUR OPERATIONS
During the fall exam periods, RWWL will increase the number of days we’re open for 24-hour operations. The extended hours include 24-hour operations for several days the week before, as well as the week of exams. Extended hours this fall are as follows:

Midterms – Monday, Oct. 1-Thursday, Oct. 11
Finals – Monday, Nov. 26-Thursday, Dec. 6
• Open 24 hours, Monday – Thursday
• 7:30 AM until midnight on FridayM
• Noon until Midnight on Saturday and Sunday
