WOODRUFF LIBRARY'S HEAD OF ARCHIVES HONORED
Karen L. Jefferson was
inducted as a Society of American Archivists
Fellow at the Society’s
annual conference in Boston this summer. This
is the highest individual honor bestowed by
the Society, given in recognition of outstanding
contributions to the archival profession. She
is the 4th African American to receive this
award in the 47 year history of the award.
Karen reports, "I
am thrilled and honored to have been recognized
by my colleagues and
proud to represent our library with such a
distinction."
