ROBERT
W. WOODRUFF LIBRARY IMPLEMENTS REMOTE ACCESS
TO ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
September 19, 2005
The Robert W. Woodruff Library announces the
implementation of new technology for access
to eResources anywhere at anytime!
The introduction of remote
access will enhance the Library's ability
to provide access to
its electronic database resources on a "24
x 7" basis. The new technology, facilitated
with the use of EZproxy software, enables current
faculty, staff, and students of the Atlanta
University Center (AUC) to use virtual resources
from wherever there is an Internet connection.
By establishing an account to authenticate
eligibility for remote access, faculty and
students can search and retrieve most of the
Library's electronic full text databases and
journal articles from off-site places such
as a home, an office, or dormitory room.
To establish a remote access account, users
must create the account from a networked computer
at one of the following campuses: Clark Atlanta
University, Morehouse, Spelman, Morris Brown,
ITC, or the Robert W. Woodruff Library. The
following information is necessary:
User's name
Local mailing address
Local phone number
Current campus email address
Unique login ID and password created by the
user
Please note the remote access account is for
the scholarly, research and information needs
of an RWWL authorized user only. The account
may not be shared with others. Unauthorized
use and extension of access to RWWL eResources
to anyone that cannot be validated as current
faculty, staff or students may result in suspension
of library privileges. For questions on creating
a remote access account please contact helpdesk@auctr.edu.
