Responding to rider needs, the Robert W. Woodruff Library (RWWL) of the Atlanta University Center introduces a new Shuttle Service concept for spring semester 2007—“The ABCs of Woodruff Transit,” featuring printed schedules, route maps posted on every shuttle and expanded operation of the Campus Express route.

New Schedules and Route Signs:

“The ABCs of Woodruff Transit” is new a letter-oriented schedule and signage system that visually maps out shuttle routes, stops and arrival/departure times using letters of the alphabet. The new system identifies the five shuttle routes by the letters A, B, C, D and E. The letters and corresponding route names will be visible on printed schedules and on the Web, inside each shuttle and on the electronic signs on the front of each shuttle. Shuttle routes will be identified as follows:

Route A – Vine City MARTA – Ashley Terrace/West End
Route B – Ashley Terrace/West End – Woodruff Library
Route C – MARTA Express (Travels to West End, Vine City and Ashby MARTA stations)
Route D – Campus Express (Continuous loop between Ashley Terrace/West End MARTA and Spelman, Morehouse and CAU entrances)
Route E – Weekend Vine City MARTA – Ashley Terrace/West End Printed routes and schedules are available on each shuttle and at the Library Reference and Circulation Desks. In addition, routes and schedules are displayed on the RWWL Web site at: http://www.auctr.edu/services/shuttle-services-schedule.asp and on posters at the front entrance of the Woodruff Library.

Expanded Hours for Campus Express

Beginning Tuesday, January 23, the Campus Express route currently operating from 7:30-10 a.m. each weekday will operate from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays to accommodate the large numbers of students with Tuesday/Thursday afternoon classes. The Campus Express route was implemented in September to transport the large numbers of students at the Ashley Terrace and West End MARTA shuttle stops to their morning classes in a timely manner. As is the current practice, the Ashley Terrace/West End-Library route will begin operation at 10:30 a.m. each weekday.
