| JOB TITLE: STAFF
ACCOUNTANT (PART-TIME) |
| SUMMARY: |
The Robert W. Woodruff Library of the Atlanta University Center (RWWL) is an organization that is undergoing transformation and is poised for excellence. Our uniqueness among academic libraries is our service to four historically black institutions in the Atlanta University Center – Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Spelman College, and the Interdenominational Theological Center. The library is seeking an enthusiastic and energized individual for the position of Staff Accountant. This is a part-time position reporting to the Controller.
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in RWWL's monthly financial statement and year-end audit and tax process. In addition, the Staff Accountant will be the designated position to back up payroll processing in the absence of HRIS\Payroll Coordinator. |
| REQUIREMENTS: |
• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
• Must have 3-5 years of Accounting experience
• Accounting Software, MIP experience a plus
• Familiarity with payroll processing software a plus
• Must be thorough, accurate and detail-oriented
• Ability to meet critical deadlines
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Must have good oral and written communication skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
• Ability to multi-task
• Must have 3-5 years of Accounting experience
• Accounting Software, MIP experience a plus
• Familiarity with payroll processing software a plus

| The Robert W. Woodruff Library
(RWWL), constructed in 1982, serves four historically
black institutions in the Atlanta University
Center - Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse
College, Spelman College, and the Interdenominational
Theological Center. The Library serves 8,908
undergraduates and 1,425 graduate students.
The Library holds 374,968 volumes, subscribes
to 1,428 serials, holds 54,038 bound periodicals,
859,290 microfilms, a growing number of electronic
databases, and special collections and archives
rich in African American materials. The Library
is a member of ARCHE, SOLINET, OCLC, HBCU Library
Alliance, and a participant of the Georgia
state network, GALILEO. |
