Join the Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library for a presentation from 2019 Travel Award recipient Mali Collins-White on “Mothers Dispossessed: Anitblackness & Kinship in the Black Imagination.” Collins-White is a Ph.D. student from the University of Delaware who conducted the research for her dissertation project in the Library's Archives Research Center. Her project examines representations of Black mothers and children in the Black feminist imagination and critiques the Transatlantic Slave Trade archive's erasure of Black motherhood.
