Woodruff Library Services

This web page contains guidelines, policies, procedures, applications and request forms for library services. Payment can be made online for book fines and Archives Research Center reproduction fees, as well as rental of the Library’s Greenscape, Exhibition Hall, conference rooms, study carrels and shuttle services. 

The AUC Woodruff Library received SOC2 certification from the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), validating that IT systems are in place to safeguard customers’ sensitive information.  Learn more.

Archives Research Center

The Archives Research Center has many individual, familial, and organizational collections. The archives are located on the upper level of the Library in the Virginia Lacy Jones Exhibition Hall. Visitors are encouraged to make appointments 24 business hours in advance to ensure materials will be accessible, and staff is available to assist.

Circulation Desk

Circulation Desk staff are available to assist with determining outstanding fees and fines owed to the Library. Once the amount is determined, payment can be submitted using the link below. The Circulation Desk is located on the Library’s middle level and is open for assistance during normal hours of operation.

Exhibition Hall and Conference Room Rental

The Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library (AUC Woodruff Library) permits activities in the Virginia Lacy Jones Exhibition Hall and other facilities that concur with its mission to support the learning, teaching, and research needs of the AUC member institutions. AUC faculties, staff, students and external organizations must submit an Exhibition Hall Reservation Request to reserve the Exhibition Hall.

Greenscape Rental

The AUC Woodruff Library’s Brawley Greenscape and Pedestrian Parkway is an outdoor area intended to be enjoyed by students, faculty and other members of the AUC. Reading, studying, socializing and organized events are some of the activities that can be enjoyed in the Greenscape.

To ensure a safe and pleasant environment and to maintain the beauty and functionality of the space, specific guidelines have been implemented and must be observed by everyone who uses the Greenscape. Additionally, rental policies have been put in place to govern the rental process and use of the Greenscape for special events.

Shuttle Rental

Atlanta University Center (AUC) students, faculty and staff can enjoy both safe and convenient transport between the AUC Woodruff Library, campuses and surrounding Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) stations. A valid Atlanta University Center member institution ID is required to ride the shuttle. A valid Government Issue ID can be used until 5:00 p.m weekdays. Study Carrel Rental

Individual study carrels may be rented for the semester by Atlanta University Center faculty and graduate students who are presently engaged in research. The Study Carrel Application must be completed, signed by the appropriate university officials, and submitted to the Office of the CEO/Director for approval.
