Security Services
- Safety Escort
We are happy to provide safety escorts during AUC Woodruff Library hours. Upon request, security officers will escort students, staff and faculty to the library parking lot. Stop at the security desk at the front entrance to request an escort to your car in the library parking lot.
- Lost & Found
All lost identification and other articles turned in to security are logged in the lost and found book located in the security office. Patrons are required to show picture identification and sign the log when retrieving property. Lost institutional identification cards are kept in security for 10 days then sent to the respective institution. Items found are secured for 30 days before being destroyed and/or donated. The Library is not responsible for any lost items not claimed. Lost and found items can be retrieved from the Security Office.
- Emergency Call Boxes
Emergency call boxes are an integral part of the safety and security services provided by the Library’s Security Services Department. Callers are connected directly to the security radio network and a security dispatcher during library operating hours. Pushing a call button on the outside of the call boxes activates them.
Call boxes are located in the Greenscape (rear section), James P. Brawley Drive SW near the intersection of Beckwith Street, Library Parking Lot (rear of building near stairs) and Parson Street near the intersection of Brawley Drive. Boxes can be identified by the signage and adjacent flashing blue lights.
