The Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026–2027 Travel Award.

The AUC Research Travel Award is granted annually to support educators, graduate students, and independent researchers who seek to explore and utilize the invaluable historical resources housed in the AUC Woodruff Library’s Archives Research Center and digital repository – RADAR, The AUC Woodruff Library Introduces Enhancements to RADAR Repository for an Improved User Experience – Robert W. Woodruff Library: Atlanta University Center (AUC) Library.

Through the Research Travel Award, scholars receive support to visit the AUC Woodruff Library during the 2026-2027 academic year to conduct in-depth research using our rich and diverse holdings. As part of their award experience, recipients will share their findings through public presentations and discussions, creating opportunities for students, faculty, researchers, and community members to engage with their work and discover the collections that inspire it.

This year’s award recipients represent a dynamic range of research interests and academic backgrounds. Each awardee was selected for the depth, originality, and relevance of their proposed project. Their work promises to bring new insight to underrepresented stories and critical conversations in archival research.

We are honored to support their scholarship and look forward to welcoming them to our institution. In recognition of the generosity and longstanding support of DONOR NAME the Research Travel Award has been renamed the Official Award Name.
