2020 Research Travel Award Application Period Open

ATLANTA (Jan. 22, 2020) – The Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library is offering research travel awards to educators, graduate students and independent researchers who would benefit from access to the rich and unique historical and cultural holdings in the Library’s Archives Research Center.

The award will be made based on estimated travel expenses, not to exceed $1,500. Available for research are rare books and over 140 collections of manuscripts, photographs, and archival records documenting the African American and African diaspora experience in a broad range of subjects including civil rights, race relations, education, literature, visual and performing arts, religion, politics and social work. The application deadline has been extended to Friday, February 21, 2020. Email [email protected] or call 404.978.2052 for eligibility requirements and application information.

Research must occur between June 15, 2020 and May 21, 2021. Travel must be more than 100 miles distance from Atlanta. Click here to download the application.
