Phylon Launches as an Online Journal

Spring 2015 has significance for a journal that has long been revered in the research community. After more than ten years, Phylon: The Clark Atlanta University Review of Race and Culture has re-launched publication…as an online journal. Phylon was founded by W.E.B. Du Bois in 1940  and published until the early 2000s. The launch of Phylon as an online journal is the result of collaboration between Dr. Obie Clayton, Edmund Asa Ware Distinguished Professor and Chair of  Sociology and Criminal Justice at Clark Atlanta University and Editor of Phylon, and the AUC Woodruff Library. The online version of Phylon is made available to the Atlanta University Center community through the AUC e-Scholarship Repository, DigitalCommons (http://digitalcommons.auctr.edu/phylon). For subscription options outside of the Atlanta University Center, please contact Dr. Obie Clayton at [email protected]. For more information on launching an online journal using the AUC e-Scholarship Repository, please contact Elizabeth G. McClenney at [email protected].
